It was a few posts back when I shared photos of the interior, but as I had mentioned, we definitely have plans to change a few things around. Here's a few refresher photos:

Having a clothing rack and space for a fitting room isn't necessary for a mobile boutique with only accessories. So we needed to figure out a way to utilize that space.

My vision for the interior is to make it feel as much like a little boutique as possible. I want it to be open, inviting and have the same feel as my online boutique or if you were to see me set up at an event.

The best way we could think to visualize the space was to model it out. So my amazing husband used the measurements (we literally took about 50 times) and turned it into a 3-D rendering.

Having the 3-D rendering enabled us to move walls, see everything to scale and play around with the layout before actually tearing things apart.

While we liked the idea of having the shelving open on the one side, a single rod just wasn't going to support them. And after staring at this mock-up, we also decided three shelves might be one too many.

The design for what with the deep shelving isn't even decided on yet, but we put in a few place holder ideas just to get an overall picture.

Not to get any more overwhelmed than we already are, John thought it'd be best to start with one side first, then move to the other side of the truck. So above you'll see how he plans to construct the plans, which is in phases highlighted in purple in teal.

The good news is not too much will be changed on the other side!

NEXT UP:

  • Taking out the dressing room wall and storage over the wheel well
  • Make a shopping list for what lumber we need
  • Schedule in time to take 8723047 trips to the hardware store
  • Start building out the plan
